Global Jam @ Droichead Arts Centre
A monthly world music session, facilitated by Peadar Connolly, designed to bring Drogheda’s musicians together through shared learning and music-making. Each session features a guided introduction to a song from a different culture, followed by an open jam or sharing space for participants to present music from their own traditions. Open to all instruments and experience levels, the project celebrates cultural diversity while encouraging collaboration and curiosity across musical styles.
I’m Peadar Connolly-Davey, an Irish singer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer, and ethnomusicologist based in Drogheda. My music weaves together Irish, Balkan, and East Asian traditions with contemporary pop and R&B, exploring themes of migration, longing, and connection.
I’ve co-produced albums with the Albanian collective Oda 3, co-founded the Irish-Chinese fusion ensemble The Sages, and now share multilingual performances and original music through live shows and online platforms. Based in Ireland, I’m currently developing my debut album while continuing to collaborate with artists across cultures and genres.
